Child Support / Spousal Support

Child Support

Child support may be determined through a divorce, paternity action, or through the California Department of Child Support Services. Our office can help you determine where your case is filed.

It is important that if you are unable to pay your existing child support obligation that you speak to an attorney to see if you are able to modify the amount order.

It is also important that if you are behind in payments (arrears) that you speak with an attorney to see if you could qualify for California’s Compromise of Arrears Program (COAP). COAP may help you reduce the amount owed to the government.
